NPVS Model Import

Creating standard overlays for NPVS models

NPV Scheduler Block Model - Import

This dialog is displayed if an attempt is made to import a block model containing pushback information. Typically, this data is generated by products such as Datamine's Studio NPVS.

Using this dialog, you can automatically generate display overlays based on any of the following properties (as represented by the standard data fields in an NPVS-style sequenced model):

  • LG Phase - Animated by Ultimate Pit OES: generate a display overlay and corresponding legend to visualize distinct LG phases, potentially allowing you to animate your 3D display based on the ultimate pit optimal extraction sequence value for the UPT_SEQ field within the model.

Coloring will be applied based on the UPT_PIT data field.
  • PUSHBACK - Animated by Pushback: create an overlay to visualize and animate data based on the pushback number (as determined by the PSB_PIT value). Coloring is also based on the contents of the PSB_PIT field.
  • PUSHBACK - Animated by Time Period: similar to above, but this time the sequence/animation field used is SCH_YEAR
  • TIME PERIOD - Animated by Schedule OES: select this option to produce an overlay to visualize the SCH_YEAR values of the imported model, and a sequence attribute of SCH_SEQ.
  • DESTINATION: Animated by Schedule YEAR: create a sequenced overlay based on the SCH_YEAR values from NPV Scheduler, colored according to the destination (NPVDEST field)

Once imported, overlays are automatically generated based on the choices made above.

Once created you can right-click an overlay and select Sequence Controls to show an animation corresponding to the properties that have been automatically set.

If you choose not to create any overlays in this dialog, or Cancel it, the model will still be loaded using the current default 3D template assigned for block models in your project.
